Tomorrow in the early a.m. I fly out to Orlando to see all the new dolls the industry has to offer. I have the anticipation of a kid before Christmas. For the last few weeks, I have been pouring over photos of new 2009 lines while putting together the March/April issue, which will mail soon.
But now I get to see the dolls in all of their tactile glory. As I dream of Goodreau Doll, Kish, G ünzel and more, I find myself wondering, just what will the Goodreau "Dororthy" look like in person? And I can't wait to have my breath taken away by G ünzel's Once Upon a Time line. I'm sure the photos of her pieces, although beautiful, will pale in comparison to the enchanting, real deal.
In addition to seeing all the new dolls, I will be conducting an interview with Robert Tonner about his new fashion doll that will debut this Sunday. Keep an eye out for the video, which we'll be posting on our Web site soon!
Later ... I have an early flight.
