Last Doll Show of the Year
Written by Dorothy Drake

I think we have all experienced how much faster time seems to go as we grow older.  This year seems to have been especially quick and full of demands on my time.  The last show of the year in Northern California was this last weekend in San Jose, CA and almost everyone that I spoke to commented on how the year just whizzzzed by!

I think we have all experienced how much faster time seems to go as we grow older.  This year seems to have been especially quick and full of demands on my time.  The last show of the year in Northern California was this last weekend in San Jose, CA and almost everyone that I spoke to commented on how the year just whizzzzed by!

All of that being said, with Christmas presents to be pondered for myself and some special club members, I was busy shopping throughout the day and found some real treasures.  I found some hand made mythical creature ornaments on a feather tree in John Paul Port's booth. I was delighted to find that Elaine Vernon had repaired a 1/2 doll that I broke, perfectly.  The BJD exhibit was really a fun one for the holiday show, great poses.  Jim Fernando had a fabulous cage doll, that another buyer beat me to.  The teddy bear displays were dizzying, it was so hard to choose.  The day was wonderful and a great end to a very busy doll show year.  I am looking forward to a month of catching up (at least on the laundry) and then starting again in 2010.

I love this world of dolls & teddy bears!  Happy Thanksgiving to you all, Dorothy
