Since their debut in 2002, the Alexander Doll Co. McDonald’s Happy Meal promotions have become a treat both collectors and non-collectors look forward to. On Aug. 20, 2010, the companies launched their latest promotional partnership, featuring Storybook Couples. The celebrated pairs include “Cinderella and Prince Charming,” “Little Red Riding Hood and Wendy as The Big Bad Wolf,” “Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter,” and “Hansel and Gretel.”

Thank you once again for exceeding expectations of the 2010 series of Madame Alexander dolls for the McDonald's Happy Meals.
My mother and I have collected them since the inception of these adorable little dolls.
We've searched near and far to make sure we've collected each one in the series. The last few years though we've had a wonderful woman at McDonalds who knows that we are anxiously awaiting for the new years series and makes certain we've gotten them all.
I thank you and McDonald's for such a treat and of course adding to my collection of dolls.

My daughter and I have marvelled and collected these dolls ever since we first discovered them the summer my mother was desperately ill in hospital and we had rushed to Galveston, TX to be with her. It may have been the first year they appeared. My daughter was 2.5 and we had brought very few dolls or toys with us. These McDonalds toys saved us. I couldn't believe the detail of the tiny sleep eyes and the real hair, and sweet costumes - still can't. We played with Peter Pan and Cool Kathy, and all the rest, making up little scenarios. We hurried eagerly down to the restaurant each week for the next ones. We even travelled around to find the dolls when we missed some. They made a tough time easier.
Every year we make sure to collect as many of the dolls as we can. I've kept them all.

Alexander Doll Co. announced that it has stopped offering regular tours of its factory on Saturdays and Sundays and is no longer a stop on Gray Line New York Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off Double Decker Bus Tour.

Remembering Jack Friedman
Jack Friedman, the founder of JAKKS Pacific toy company, passed away on May 3, 2010, from complications due to a rare blood disease. He was 70 years old and had spent 50 years of his life in the toy industry. Known for his philanthropic work with children, the military, and charities that needed an infusion of cash and enthusiasm, he was a man who loved life.
